New features include support for Precision Synthesis, advanced I/Os, and configurable clock managers
QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ: QUIK), the low-power programmable logic leader, today announced that version 9.8 of its QuickWorks® development software is now available and offers full support for its new PolarPro™ family of ultra-low-power FPGAs. Additionally, in a separate release dated today, QuickLogic announced the production shipment of PolarPro devices.
This new version of the QuickWorks tool suite provides a complete design environment for PolarPro devices including synthesis, simulation, timing and power analysis. QuickWorks v9.8 also includes a number of new features:

This comprehensive QuickLogic FPGA design environment includes fully-integrated schematic and HDL-based design entry, HDL language editors and tutorials, logic synthesis support from Mentor Graphics, 100% fully automatic place and route, static timing analysis, Verilog and VHDL functional and timing simulation support, and 3rd-party design-tool interfaces. For power sensitive or power critical designs, QuickWorks has integrated PowerAware logic placement, power simulation and power calculation.
The QuickWorks v9.8 software is available now at no charge for Windows (98, 2000, ME, XP and NT). The software can be downloaded from the QuickLogic website at http://www.quicklogic.com/downloads
