Physical Design Engineer

Reporting to: Director of Engineering

Location: Remote (Midwest preferred)

Job Description
In This Role You'll Get To:
  • Will be responsible for all aspects of Physical Design for Full Chip and IP Blocks covering Floor planning, Placement, Budgeting, Clock Tree planning & analysis, Scan re-ordering, Clock tree synthesis, Placement optimizations, Routing, Timing and SI analysis/closure, ECO tasks (both timing and functional), EM/IR, DRC, LVS, ERC analysis & fixes, Low Power solution development & implementation
  • Drive front-end and back-end implementation from RTL to GDS2, including synthesis, FV, floor planning, net-listing, timing constraints, timing and power convergence, and ECO implementation
  • Must have experience in completing PD tasks on recent process technologies (22nm, 14 nm, 7nm, and beyond)
  • Develop or enhance timing related scripts for clock skew analysis, critical path analysis, various IO interfaces, constraints partitioning/budgeting (from chip level to block level)
  • Be a highly-valued member of our start-up-like team through excellent collaboration and teamwork with other physical design engineers with the RTL design team
  • Participate and lead others in developing scripts/methodologies/flows automation and improvements to the backend design flow
What We're Looking For:
  • MUST be a US Citizen
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree, higher level preferred
  • Must work with other departments and be a Team player
  • Proficiency using Python/Perl, Tcl, Make scripting is preferred
  • hould be a power user of P&R and timing analysis CAD tools from Synopsys (ICC/DC/PT/STAR-RC/ICV), Cadence (First Encounter/Innovus/Voltus)
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in physical design on ASIC tapeouts
  • Experienced with ASIC design flow, hierarchical physical design strategies, methodologies
  • Understanding of FPGA architecture/implementation is plus

QA Manager

Reporting to: VP WW Operations

In This Role You'll Get To:
  • Represent the Quality Management role for the company and be the main contact for Quality related questions and surveys.
  • Gather Supplier Quality Questionnaires and their Environmental Certificates
  • Coordinate the quarterly Management Review and run the Annual one with all managers
  • Update all Product SDS, ICP and Weight information from our subcons
  • Environmental responses to Customers regarding REACH, RoHS, CMRT, Cobalt, TSCA, ChemSherpa.
  • Schedule and Lead the annual ISO certification/recertification activities.
  • Manage and schedule Internal ISO Audits and perform some internal audits.
  • Submit and track CARs to internal areas and external vendors as requested.
  • Run the biweekly Material Review Board meeting – this meeting reviews problem lot status, PCNs, Qual status, and CAR status.
  • Manage the Document Control portal.
  • Drive the AS9100 certification activities and once certified drive the internal audits and recertification activities.
  • As we move into controlled military shipments the role will represent Quality paperwork and sign-off activities.

  • Minimum 5 years QA experience
